Sheraton Towers Wedding Banquet Review

Just minutes walk from Newton MRT, the pillarless Opulent Ballroom of Sheraton Towers which is able to host up to 540 guests, is a great banquet location to consider. A weekday dinner banquet costs about $1,500 while weekend dinner costs about $1,850 for a table of 12.

What the nesthouple likes about Sheraton include its:

  • Convenient location (next to Newton MRT)
  • Pillarless and high ceiling ballroom
  • Grand looking ballroom lights
  • Relatively large and private foyer
  • Outdoor solemnization by the waterfall (at a charge)
  • Quality food from the Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant
  • Wide range of themes for a beautiful set-up

However, what the nesthouple does not really like are its:

  • L-shaped ballroom (and thus march-in)
  • Lower ceiling for part of the L-shaped ballroom
  • Lack of view of the couple’s march-in for guests seated at the tail end of ballroom
  • Stage set-up at an angle
  • Table of 12 setting (which can be harder for grouping of guests)
  • Min no. of 30 tables required for weekends
  • A 2nd ballroom – Topaz Room on the same floor
  • Less attractive perks offered at Jan’s wedding show (no credit card/ monetary discount)

The Jan wedding show perks offered for weddings in 2017 include:

  • Free 2nd night stay at bridal suite (11 designer themed suites)
  • Extension of day-use  room to 8pm
  • 1 extra free barrel of beer
  • 10 extra bottles of wine for banquet size of 20-30 tables
  • Free rental of indoor solemnization location (outdoor at $600+)

The nesthouple was informed that the next wedding show will be in Apr as Sheraton holds a wedding show every quarter. Do note that the perks offered at each wedding show differ  🙂
